“I first met Hazel about 18 months ago whilst living in Orkney. I undertook an internet search for a piano teacher. Recently retired, I was determined to fulfil a life -long ambition to learn to play piano. Hazel responded, and within a week, during lockdown, we started lessons on-line. I was full of trepidation, and had no confidence, but Hazel consistently demonstrated patience, insight, and humour. We have built a trusting relationship, so important to the pupil teacher dyad, especially as an adult learner. Each lesson she nudges me forward, always with constructive and encouraging feedback. She is a marvellous teacher, and her love of music permeates our weekly sessions. I am indebted to her.”
